Every creature is a part of nature and deserves to live happily in its natural habitat. Environmental competence is an integral part of the training of a modern specialist. The ecological activities help the students to develop factual knowledge about the natural environment, foster more positive perceptions about the value of the natural world, develop eco-friendly habits, engage students in environmental recreation projects and develop their psychological and spiritual relationship with nature.
Eco-education at Vyzhnytsia Applied College of Arts and Design is aimed at teaching the students about the natural world and, particularly, about the ways, in which ecosystems work and how to change environmental behavior, such as getting people to recycle or how to build eco-friendly dwellings.
The system of environmental education at the college has a comprehensive, interdisciplinary and integrated character, with differentiation, depending on the students’ professional orientation. It is based on the education of needs and skills of environmentally sound behavior, healthy lifestyle, the desire to be active in environmental protection; development of intellectual and emotional spheres of the students, on the basis of the analysis of ecological situations, emotional experience, concerning the nature.
Spring is rich in various international and global environmental dates and events, related to the protection and preservation of the environment.
During the second semester, the college hosted different activities, dedicated to environmental holidays and events in Ukraine and in the world. The college students (Natural Sciences teacher Slobidchuk M. S.) participated at different environmental actions and challenges.
